14 February 2010

Today is the first day of the Lunar New Year, the beginning of the Year of the Tiger. Cambodia does not celebrate the Lunar New Year as a holiday but many of its people do. These are pictures from the past couple days as people prepared for today's celebration.

Flowers are a "must" at Lunar New Year time, especially chrysanthemums with their gold color to symbolize prosperity

Families everywhere were out in front of their houses burning imitation money and other paper offerings for the spirits
