John Judie led morning prayer (lauds) in the theology chapel at St. Meinrad, adding a plea for more diverse liturgies that better reflect the ethnic and racial diversity of the Louisville parishes

Art Turner and Cathy Schneider, two lay people from the Archdiocese of Louisville, added the results of their survey of parishioners in Louisville about opinions of priests.

After a group photo
At 3:30 PM there was a tornado warning and everyone had to go to the basement. Then at 4:00 PM, after the all-clear, we had a group photo on the steps of the abbey church.
A special supper for the last night
For the final supper, the organizers really made it special. The waiters--Louisville priests and seminarians--even had white jackets and gloves!
Tom Boland explaining a discussiion process
After hearing all the reports from the different groups of priests and the lay people, Tom Boland led us in a process to determine a number of action steps that we wanted to implement. Jim Hackett planned the menu for our four days together and did a superb job of it!
An executive group meeting
While the table groups discussed, an executive group met to plan how to bring together and narrow down all the different ideas that were proposed for action steps. Archbishop Kelly (left) has become known for his yellow sweater he wears at each assembly.
