Trip to United States

5 June to 7 July 2011

(Monday)

Today was another day for catching up.  Part of it was a series of short meetings to work out some details on various projects and the rest was work on the computer.  Then in the afternoon I went to the seminary building to see some staff and made a visit to the Maryknoll post office to buy some stamps.

This is the signpost that shows Bethany's street address in Ossining.  Somerstown Road is also NY 133, a small highway that conveniently cuts across Westchester County and provides good access to various locales.

This is a view at Bethany of the end of the residence wing and the main building to the west of the wing which contains the classroom (ground floor) and the chapel (second floor).  I am starting to take a lot of photos of the Bethany building and grounds because early next year it will be given back to the Maryknoll Society (the priests and brothers) and the Maryknoll Lay Missioners headquarters will move to the Walsh Building on the Society campus.  I want to have many photos that show Bethany as we have known it over the last 30+ years.

This is a photo of the residence wing (right) and the main building to the east of the wing where administrative offices are located.  The two cars are the two vehicles that the Maryknoll Lay Missioners own.
